the bullet test

As i'm getting married soon, i've also been thinking more about love, life, the institution of marriage, soulmates, et cetera et cetera, you get the picture.

So during lunch one day, i asked my colleagues this question :-

"Will you take a bullet for your husband?"

For their children, not necessary to ask, definitely, on a heartbeat, but for their husbands?

Most of them said dunno, never really thought of it....

Then V said maybe she will, hard to say....

After thinking really really hard, J said maybe she will too, maybe only...

A said, hahha, hahaha...didnt really answering...

Then they asked me whether i will, which i answered....well...i think i might....

But then B said...NO, I definitely wont! What for take a bullet for him, if i die liao, he will thank me by just re-marrying another, dont be stupid lar....

And then everyone said ya ya, true... do NOT take a bullet for your husband!!!

I was thinking bout that (yeah, our time is spent thinking deep and meaningful thoughts like these) for a bit when another friend pointed out this story that happened during the Sichuan earthquake in 2008...

This man was photographed carrying his dead wife on his motorcycle for a proper burial and made headlines around the world..and he was declared the perfect husband..true love, bla bla..

And then not more than 2 years later.....

yes, blissfully re-married another..

So....would you take a bullet for your husband??

frankly, i still will. We take on the bullet so that they can live on happily ma. We wouldnt want the luving one to mourn the rest of his life, no? Happy moments remain in the heart!

Chewah..hahaha
